In one breath, Muscat justifies the Citizenship scheme by alleging that high profile individuals with talent would be attracted to Malta, but in the next, he is going to bed with dubious Middle Eastern businessmen to launch projects of national importance, since they require government intervention to circumvent planning and environmental policies and laws.

Muscat is a fake through and through and those who do not admit it are accomplices to this travesty.

We must not forget that dozens of former top academics are doing FA at Uni well past their best-before date, receiving a full salary plus a full pension at taxpayers’ expense.

Grace and favour.

Very few of these are on the list for obvious reasons.
The University of Malta is mired in corruption and sleaze.

In reply to Bert Gauci. It ain't necessarily so re Silvio Parnis. It seems that late last week Mr Red Ferrari was hurriedly closing a konvenju on Fort St Leonard (either for himself or for a friend of his) but Silvio Parnis was livid about the free rein given to the Mr Red Ferrari and might be positioning himself among the opposing faction of the Zonqor project.

It is a partial list. I am not on it, for example, as I hadn’t known beforehand about the initiative and had to email my support yesterday. By last night there were 182 academics, including Labour-leaning ones. Still a fraction of the entire academic staff but the list is growing.

If I remember one thing from four years of archaeology, it is this: never argue from the ABSENCE of evidence.

The fact that they didn’t sign that statement does not mean they back it (which would be an illogical conclusion anyway).

It is more likely to mean that they don’t want to stick their necks out.

It could also mean that not all of them were canvased.
