It is, in fact, what sets those societies apart from the first world.

They didn’t vote PN because of freedom and rights and democratic values and respect for the individual. They voted PN when the Labour Party had reduced the Maltese economy to Albanian levels, and then they kept voting PN because they were scared KMB and Sant would undo the free market.

I even have doubts about why people voted for EU membership. I think money was the main factor there too, because ‘opportunities’ are read as ‘opportunities to make money’.

Saviour who? The one who managed to do the impossible and lost us real and true environment-lovers the spring hunting referendum?

Speaking of Ċisju, whatever happened to the ‘Oil Scandal of the Millenium’ investigation by the Parliamentary Commission?

Where is Saviour and his Malta Today ‘investigative’ publication of emails?

I must admit that although some of us have been thinking and saying that we could not have expected less from Muscat, he has now surpassed most of our expectations.

The nightmare is even darker than most would have imagined, and believe me the 80s experience was no small feat to equal.

Every single person with a questionable track record has been elevated. These days up is down and down is up.

Muscat must be assuming that those who have fallen by the wayside would be more apreciative of his handouts and in the meantime the cow is being milked dry and moral fibre has become a thing of the past.

Malta is not a third world country. But it has a population with a third world mindset.

Malta’s structures and systems are first world. Its people are third world.
