Because Tal-Qroqq was built on a barren hill. And if you want the reason for that, you’ll have to go back to the madness and nonsense that was the Sixties, to Richard England and his sycophants, and to a certain vision of a Brave New Malta that was only challenged after 1987.

Now it’s back with a vengeance.

Whenever Maltese policy is just plain wrong and twisted, go back a few decades and you’ll always find some deeply-entrenched cultural meme that’s at the root of it.

One wonders where is Astrid Vella and her FAA.

When the PN was in government, she took people to the streets. And lest we forget, Muscat and Big Tony from GWU participated in that protest, not because they gave a rat’s ass about environment, but because they saw it as an anti-Gonzi protest.

And in effect, that’s what it was, because that is what Astrid Vella conceived it to be.

Maybe somehow, her silence was bought too.
