Why do we even continue to refer to the project as a ‘university?’

Just because Muscat and his friend, the developer Al-Saleh, say so doesn’t make it one.

Until it’s proven otherwise, with proper details of the academic set-up, lecturing/researching staff, accreditation, etc.

I’m with Therese Comodini-Cachia on this and consider it a scam.

The answer to your question of why Malta and not other Schengen countries is that Joseph Muscat’s Home Affairs Minister controls the visas for Malta, which are also visas for the Schengen Zone.

In other, larger and not as corrupt EU member states, they will not have a hotline to the visa office or an unofficial agreement on the fast and no-questions-asked processing of visas.

You couldn’t have said it any better. That Marsascala mayor really needs a reality check. Unless of course he has a personal interest in this project, but honestly I don’t think he does, I think he is actually brainwashed and only sees through very red glasses.
