Daphne, people probably don’t know that there was a private zoo at the Dragonara and that other estates that could afford the space had animals. There were animals in the different gardens at Palazzo Feriol in Gudja. If I recall correctly the gardens were named, and content-wise designed, after Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

I rather think that the incentive is to emulate this SET of people.

It was an age ago. Animals were perhaps thought of differently.

There are also animals and animals.
