What did Mizzi do before getting involved in politics? It must have been something very highly paid that allowed him to buy a house in London.

Maybe it’s old money. Fact is most property in London is out of reach for mere mortals. He needs to provide more details. This isn’t transparency but rather dark translucency.

Depends.

That’s in Newham and right by Canning Town Tube station. A 2-bedroom flat will probably fetch anywhere between £1500-2000 p/month in that area.

Prices aside, you have a very valid point about Konrad’s declaration of assets. His declaration was signed last year if I’m not mistaken, whereas everyone else was around Jan-March 2015.

I honestly have a feeling that this was done on purpose so as not to declare the 500-odd grand that he would have made from this sale.

Don’t know if it’s a genuine error or not, but his signed declaration form is dated 2nd March, 2014….every other Ministerial declaration is dated 2015.

Can’t help being suspicious when Ministers are being transparent.

May I ask a more obvious question: if Konrad Mizzi has a “house including garage in London” who on earth would believe him that he didn’t put it up for rent at £1,500 a month?

With a house in London one assumes that one needs to keep a bank account in Sterling to pay taxes and bills… and deposit the rent.

Konrad Mizzi has declared a house in London but no London bank account.

We won’t let him slip out of this one.

It would be nice if David Thake were to phone him and ask for an explanation.
