Michael Falzon’s father was called Muse (Moses) and his mother is Karmena. Michael has just the one sibling, called Silvio.

The grocer’s shop you mention was indeed Michael’s father’s, but it was called ‘Ghand Muse’ (official name: King Store).

The other grocers were ‘Ghand Ta’ Kekkina’ (where Amery Street ended in High Street), ‘Ghand Frankie’ (Howard Street almost c/w Victoria Avenue) and ‘Ghand Toni’ (three doors away from where I grew up in Milner Street, where Pierre Camille Hairdressers have been for the last 35 years).
