At one time we had a meat-seller holding a Maltese diplomatic passport, when diplomats who were head of mission were not entitled to one. Rationality is irrelevant when favours are concerned.

I doubt it. He holds all the cards in that relationship. She can’t even leave, even if she wanted to, because she won’t be able to take her children with her.
