I for one didn’t. I still remember, as do many others I know, Dom Mintoff calling Joe Mizzi a ‘gidra’ (kohlrabi – Malta doesn’t have turnips).

He has really risen to the compliment.

Perfectly right.

The other day a couple of tourists who had been waiting for bus 110 for over 30 minutes told me that tourists should be warned of what to expect before coming to Malta.

After all that was said about the previous minister, it is only fair that Minister Mizzi should resign.

It is we commuters who can pass judgment on the state of the service. It is nothing but a disgrace to our country.

If you ask the driver why the bus is so late, you get the inevitable answer “Because of the heavy traffic”.

Anyone who gets that answer should retort: “What if you were driving this bus in London?”

So long as they got rid of Arriva, they don’t give a damn. We now have a poor service at a much higher cost.
