The professional 20-somethings put on tonnes of makeup, high heels and powersuits, which makes them look like 40-year-olds. The 20-something party animals just wear leggings (hot pants in summer) and massive wedges.

Not mocking anyone here. One doesn’t choose one’s body shape. But it would help a great deal to be a little more natural. The hipster girls manage it – the ones who don’t try to do a Lorde with the black make-up.

And the dress would not have been made of muslin-weight fabric, which warps on the bias.

For strategic holes (which are very 1970s) what you need is a 1970s-type fabric like jersey.
