I’m happy to report that I got Times of Malta to change the headline to this article.

Initially it was this: “Mafia-linked companies bypassed stringent procedures”

I posted a comment which they did not show – that bypassing means circumventing or avoiding and that in fact they meant PASSED rather than BYPASSED.

Guilt hasn’t been proven in a court of law but all the proof Cuschieri needs in his role as chair of the Lotteries and Gaming Authority is in the reports of various intercepted conversations that name individuals, companies and consultants. At least one in particular is known to Cuschieri himself. His name is Iosif Galea.
