Deo Scerri should choose between his profession/audit firm as an independent professional office or his role as businessman/business advisor/government appointee to the Bank of Valletta board.

No wonder the Bank of Valletta provides generously on guarantees and termination terms, conditions and golden handshakes when there are so many Labour Party cronies on the board.

How can we ever consider good governance with these business brokers involved in the public administration?

In reply to La Redoute. Spot on. They will be killing two birds with the proverbial one stone. Building permits will have to be issued for the land between the university and the present built up are at Zonqor. And that is where the money lies and pre-electoral promises made good for. And to hell with the environment. That was only 'worth it' during the electoral campaign.

Muscat has said he’ll split the project. That leaves a hotel on ODZ land with a ‘university’ in scattered buildings. When they pull the plug on the university, they’ll still have a hotel with a fantastic view in an area for which no one else can get a building permit.
