I voted Yes in the divorce referendum, but I knew beyond doubt (and was proved correct) that it would mean the end of many unmarried relationships and the contracting of many marriages under duress, like Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando’s to Carmen Ciantar and Chris Cardona’s to his Ukrainian mistress.
