Your comparison to the movement of people out of Africa is completely fatuous.

Leaving the Eurozone is not the same thing as leaving the European Union. Greeks – unlike your Africans – would still have full freedom of movement in the rest of Europe and the main problem on the table, even if unspoken, was preventing a situation in which a population of 11 million people is destabilised by bankruptcy and political unrest to the point where they begin to flood out into the rest of the continent.

Europe’s laws on freedom of movement did not allow for mass waves of millions of destitute economic refugees from actual member states.

His academic study was in something totally different and his work since then has been as a Super One reporter, investment adviser for Crystal Finance, writer of books about ‘skandli’ for Sensiela Kotba Socjalisti, MEP and politician.

What he says is irrelevant. I can say I am a car mechanic. It doesn’t make me one.

I’m aware but he does keep repeating that he is an economist. The last time I heard him say it was quite recently after the spring hunting referendum was announced. When asked about whether referenda on other hobbies could be called he said that “jiena ekonomista mhux avukat imma…”
