Joseph Muscat’s is clearly male pattern baldness of a type that is genetically very common in Malta. Trying a hair transplant in that situation is like bailing out a boat with a teaspoon. As you put hair in, more comes out.

There is obviously something very wrong with the psychology of somebody who wears a wig like that, but apparently Maltese people had to vote for him to find out because they’re told that a wig is a normal choice to do with one’s ‘personal life’.

The wig, on the other hand, told me most of what I needed to know, and guess what, it was correct.

The same refers to the hair transplant and the scalp lift. Hair transplants and scalp lifts are associated, from what I can observe, with personality problems, the most conspicuous of which is the inability to have a stable relationship.

Muscat had a hair transplant that summer he disappeared completely and pretended he had injured his leg. His wife stood in for him at all official functions.

And in the months before the last general election, he had a full scalp lift and the ring around his head showed clearly in photographs taken under the UV lighting on a stage.

I had written about it on this website and there was a full discussion at the time.

Both were unsuccessful.
