Joseph Vella Bonnici’s brother-in-law Charles Pace (married to his sister Dorothy) is a former Air Malta pilot to took a large sum as early retirement and who, post March 2013, was appointed to the board of directors of Transport Malta and also put on the state payroll at the Civil Aviation Directorate.
