I did know a few lawyers. Ended up quarrelling with each and every one of them, and it was always over this business.

I guess the bill is huge. Nobody cares to disclose these figures.

The worse thing is that public accountants became just book-keepers. They are either helpless or became immune to control within this culture of spending simply “ghax tal-Gvern’.

To top it all, the internal audit units and the Auditor General are either powerless, scared, sleeping or in a permanent coma.

Simply a disservice to their country and their fellow citizens who work hard and pay taxes to be spent irresponsibly by these types, who look like “mejtin ghal xi safra” taken “free”.
