Erm, remember that with Labour it always depends…..in the electricity meter issue for example, the government chose who to take to court and who to fine but by doing so it in fact decided who to give a criminal record to and who to keep ‘clean’.

First of all I must say that it is very important that politicians are very, very careful who they befriend and whose invitations they accept.

As you have often said, Daphne, people who want to corrupt or gain favour will do their best to rope them in and keeping distance shows that a politician has a good sense of what is right and what is wrong and is a good judge of charachter.

Secondly what are Gaffarena and others trying to prove?

That Beppe is also corrupt?

Does this in any way justify the corruption going on now?
