Don’t worry too much. These ‘campaigns’ are usually “co-financed by the European Social Fund” as is the ‘information campaign’ about the Justice Reform ‘by the Government’ which is repeatedly aired almost in succession on Radio Malta and recently TVM.

When the original body or shell is replaced by inorganic minerals, it is called a trace fossil as is a fossil of a footprint, trail, burrow, or other trace of an animal rather than of the animal itself.

Plenty of that in Malta’s rocks too.

I do remember there being some issues with fruit, though – technically dead, but containing seeds which were ‘alive’ in the sense that they would produce more plants.
