If people don’t read an important story because they’re too preoccupied by something else, that’s their problem and not the journalist’s.

You’re confusing journalists with politicians. Journalists don’t have messages and so don’t need to wait until the opportune time to ‘release’ something.

I’m afraid that the Maltese scenario in which ‘journalists’ are employed by political parties to serve that party’s agenda has distorted the Maltese perception of what journalism is about.
