In reply to tinnat. But they want a country that is in Schengen, and that is why Malta was chosen. It is easier to travel to Europe that way, via Malta. Entering UK or Switzerland is not that easy.

The despicable Mintoff crippled the University of Malta by abolishing courses like Bachelor of Science.

On the other hand I am not happy with the huge number of questionable degrees being given out now. People with real degrees for which they needed to work hard are not happy to be graduating with people who have degrees in ‘youth studies’, ‘women studies’ or ‘lateral thinking’.

Of course, people like Andrew Azzopardi, Mary Darmanin and Edward Debono will not agree with me and others like me who want the University to remain a respectable institution.

Maybe he’s thinking of all the non halal burger joints, the liquor stores, the professional ladies, the gambling dens catering to rich young men being sent to this third world country to sow their oats.
After all some things never change.
