I don’t like it when every discussion on Maltese politics turns into a discussion on the merits of Simon Busuttil.

I was writing to dispel the notion that the distortion of politics into the raking in of money is just Joseph Muscat’s doing. Given that Simon Busuttil will be prime minister after Joseph Muscat, and that I was looking at things that need to be done to return Malta to the West, I had to mention him.

Ruddy stupid reasoning, so please stop repeating it as though it’s the gospel truth.

It’s quite obvious to any sensible person that having Lawrence Gonzi win for ‘all the wrong reasons’ would have been a damn sight better for the country than losing to Muscat.

You think allowing THIS to happen was an honourable alternative? For God’s sake.

You’re reasoning like a Jehovah’s Witness: doing ‘the right thing’ by not allowing your daughter to be operated on, and then having her die.

And instead of looking at the terrible fact that your daughter has died, you consider your honour in doing the right thing and not allowing the doctors to get to her.
