The ‘dorms’ will be built at Zonqor Point and not in Bormla, so that if the ‘university’ is a flop the Jordanian investor can easily convert the complex to a hotel.

Great victory, l-ahwa. Once again the Prime Minister has shown that he is for turning.

Everyone is happy, from the environmentalists who rightly want to be liked by this glamourous PM, to the social climbing millionaire-wannabes who’ll be feeding off the project.

The Jordanian Caqnu himself is ecstatic. He can still fit in a number of dormitories at campus, with the overflow going to his new complex on the Cottonera sea front in Grand Harbour.

All for a cup of tea and twenty-three peanuts and a half.

Tourists will be welcome, of course. And won’t they be delighted too?

The people of Cottonera haven’t had it so good, l-ahwa.
