That is just the thing, Gensna does not tell us how Mintoff’s family did well under the ‘barrani’, the British Navy in fact, how Mintoff himself got a scholarship from ‘il-barrani’ and his ‘very poor parents’ could afford to send their children to school on the ‘barrani’s’ better than others’ salary.
