Do you honestly expect to pay less than 5.50 euros for a ftira and a cup of coffee? That’s just Lm2.50 in old money.

You’re not just buying the ftira, its filling and the coffe. You’re paying for the labour that made it, the canteen overheads, and the service.

Funny how many Maltese people don’t get this. They expect to pay literally the supermarket cost of the actual ingredients.

I know much better places, with better value for money.

Last time I was there a ftira and a lousy cup of coffee (which I did not finish) cost me nearly E5.50.

And the service from behind the counter?

Disgusting.
