All of you, cut this crap about boosting Bormla’s economy.

Don’t you realise we live in an island that is 17 miles by nine?

Don’t fall for the ginger guy’s ploy.

The only setback to Bormla’s economy happened in 1990 when Ugo Mifsud Bonnici ordered the police to do their job and stop prostitutes from roaming in the area.

If the Prime Minister wanted to give some kind of “gift” to Bormla, he would have helped to convert the Dock 1 area into a real touristic area by having restaurants there, for example.

This would have boosted the Bormla economy, so to speak, by both the Maltese and tourists alike, and this all year round.

The area would have been as attractive as the Birgu and Valletta Waterfronts.

Some of the less gullible people in Bormla are quite furious, apparently, about having the “university” there.

Following the rivalry between Birgu and Bormla, they were hoping the Great Leader would convert the Bormla waterfront into fierce competition for Birgu.

I partly disagree. Mintoff didn’t like foreigners who wouldn’t give him money. Foreigners who would were just fine.

This man has a growing grandiose sense of self-importance and arrogance bordering on megalomania.

He’s so convinced of his absolute power and greatness that he now actually believes he is giving this University as a symbolic gift to Bormla.

In addition he says “this symbolic gift will make Bormla the best in the Mediterranean; and above all, this shows there is no difference between people.”

What is he prattling on about? None of this makes any sense at all. At what will Bormla be best? How will this show there is no difference between people?

Does he really believe all people are as gullible and blind as the myth-believers in the Labour camp, that they cannot see through his empty rhetoric?

Muscat may have hoodwinked the people of Bormal and elicited their adulation and gratitude by bestowing this ‘symbolic gift’ upon them, but his calculated actions and words will never hoodwink or elicit anything from me but my sheer and utter contempt.
