These guys can get away with murder as the majority of Maltese accept as normal any type of bullying behaviour from them.

Somehow or other we tend to lower our level of expectations with the Labiur Party. We hold these people in awe and the more they hit us and hurt us (as Mintoff used to do) the more we crawl up to them like a dog.

And this goes for our media too.

How else do you explain the small variance in votes in 1987 after 16 years of excruciating pain and the dictatorial regime of a Labour government when a whole country was brought to its knees economically as well as morally?

Not so with Nationalist governments or Nationalist politicians. These have to be purer than the driven so and mind you dare slip one centimetre as otherwise all hell is let loose.
