This China UK deal was signed last June which means it must have been 24 months in the making before that. So, that puts the timescale back to 3 years.

Well, in the right areas or corridors of power, or say within the walls of EU Parliament, it would have been and excuse the pun ‘Chinese Whispers” for me the timescale all seems to fit in perfect to suggest an uneducated copy job.

The UK can afford that risk, no problem, but those in power in Malta today thinking bigger than their eventual out-of-power eyes would not have thought that far ahead.

Actually, scratch that. I read it on The Malta Independent website this morning, not on the BBC. And I’m on the BBC a lot. Sorry, my memory is terrible but I remember now, reading it in the Independent I thought that they were trying to make some sort of subtle point about Chinese foreign investment and government guarenatees but they (Independent staff) weren’t quite sure what the point should be. The BBC, going by the significant lack of prominence on their website, gave the story way less importance than the Independent. Why?
