As I make my way out of the hotel after A NIGHT AT THE ADONIS, still reeling from the SENSATIONS of my NIGHTDREAM, I notice an envelope BEHIND THE GREEN DOOR. Like a character in a DIRTY WESTERN, I open it with INSATIABLE fingers. It is a note, asking me to meet – THE DEVIL IN the detail – MISS JONES at the offices of the EL PASO WRECKING CORP.

I ask a passing driver from the KANSAS CITY TRUCKING CO. for directions. He replies with a volley of swearing. I did not expect to have anyone TALK DIRTY TO ME. I try a workman from the L.A. TOOL & DIE. No luck.

So I decide to ask at the CAFÉ FLESH. I notice they sell PRETTY PEACHES besides the usual sandwiches and muffins. They have a little play area inside, with BOYS IN THE SAND playing merrily.

In a DEEP THROAT voice, I ask for a large coffee, THE BIGGER THE BETTER, and offer to buy one for THE CHEERLEADERS waiting in line. Where I come from, it is something of a TABOO, but here in New York, I feel I am THROUGH THE LOOKING GLASS, like ALICE IN WONDERLAND.

No one knows where this office is located, but I learn of THE OPENING OF MISTY BEETHOVEN, an art exhibition featuring the famous paintings RESURRECTION OF EVE, and MONA THE VIRGIN NYMPH, INSIDE the Guggenheim, by DESIRÉE COUSTEAU.

Good idea, and later perhaps I can visit the exhibition on CALIGULA at the Met. Truly, we are living in the golden age.
