It’s a matter of one’s personal standards, Malteser.

There are some people who expect better, all round, from their Prime Minister and their representatives. These people generally hold THEMSELVES to higher standards too.

There is ample evidence that this is a minority group. This is one of the current administration’s greatest strengths.

English is not an official language of Italy.

Italy was not a British colony for 164 years.

The language of instruction in Italian schools is not English.

The Italian government is not obliged at law to communicate in both Maltese and English.
