MEPA seems to be made up of the most aesthetically blind, uncultured and tasteless people in the country.

Cases in point the terrace retaining walls around Mtarfa and the unprecedented height of boundary walls around the ‘gonna tal-Kmand’. The most spectacular being on the road from Siggiewi to Rabat, right next to the junction to Tal-Virtu’. Or what’s left of it, what with the latest knack for material procurement for ‘farmhouses’.

Then there’s the one made entirely of triangular chips, left overs from the production of balavostri, it’s on the road leading from Qrendi down to Wied Iz-Zurrieq. Totally authentic in frugal intent and rather effective in texture.

My last count was about 20 journalists who died by the bullet, murdered by unknown persons who never got caught (and will never be).

Back in Malta, Muscat sends his ‘hitmen’ to try to frame his much-hated journalist while sanitising his cronies the Vella Bonnicis et al from the insipid corruption that his system has created by design.

You have the unleashing of a liberal artsy-fartsy offensive. All nicely timed in the run-up to CHOGM.

At the same time, you have a crackdown on all dissidents.

The Opposition won’t do anything about it. They’ve been trained to turned their noses up at dissenters.

But what is really shocking and astonishing to me is that 89+ (yes, I actually counted them as I couldn’t believe what I was witnessing) of these comments were made by one lone male who appeared to have long forgotten to take his medication or see his therapist to curb his really severe bad dose of mysogynistic ravings and personal attacks on a woman.

Worse still is the fact that 24 hours later, neither the editor nor the comment board moderators of Malta Today see fit or feel the need to take any action to stop such blatant harassment of a journalistic colleague.

Disgraceful.
