These are fairly good prospects in today’s world.

I gather you come from the pre-globalisation generation. You wouldn’t understand.

Later on, women become burdened with family life and pursue second and third degrees less than men do, so things even out.

75% of Maltese are ignorant in one way or another, just look around you! it has become a nightmare living on this island, as ignorance abounds and thrives.

Or a director of a government department, even without the hassle of going to university.

Unfortunately university education has, in most instances and by both political parties, been projected as a means to an end, i.e. to get a better job.

University is no longer the place where students learn to argue sensibly and logically (unlike most politicians, foremost example of which is our PM), to make a good argument, to forgo parroting what has been fed to you via L-Orizzont or Manwel Cuschieri and instead put your grey matter to work.

Not unusual – it’s the hallmark of all third-world and undeveloped societies.
