The problem with social media is that it gives idiots the impression that their opinion is important and relevant in solving a problem.

I don't discuss solutions to serious problems on comments boards or social media because problems like that should be tackled by statesmen and not couch potatoes.

The public's duty is to elect statesmen who can deal with these problems and to ensure that they do their job, and not to provide free advice or propose solutions.

If you really want to help, and if you are qualified to do so, stop wasting time commenting and get involved in structures which deal with these problems.

What I do to do good for this country is none of your business and I don't go bragging about it - and what I do is not blab about it on comment boards.

I sometimes think comments boards should be renamed "rant and rave boards".

Your very relevant argument is irrelevant because the topic is the misuse of political power and not the influx of immigrants.

The influx of immigrants is a result of abuse but, in itself, immigrants' influx is neither wrong nor right.

You keep referring to the "situation" when the only situation pertinent is the abuse purported by governmental entities.

I will take a few seconds to humour your fixation on immigrant's influx and veer off topic.

I find your 'relevant argument' incorrect for two reasons. Irregular immigrants can be well taken care of by the state because Malta is doing very well economically- (see Ministry of Finance PR - and the sale of passports generates enough revenue to sustain a large number of people in need.

Economic migrants are contributing positively to Malta's economy to the extent that unemployment figures are at record low (see OPM PR) and Malta's economy is growing (see Ministry of Finance PR).

The Maltese economy needs to import labour and skills because Maltese labour levels are not enough to sustain the economy's growth and skilled Maltese are leaving for other countries (mainly European).

More than this I don't want (and don't care) to comment on your Armageddon influx of immigrants.

Firstly I don't blame the immigrants for the influx I blame the colonialists, I blame the government and I blame the people like you who are so afraid of being called xenophobes or racists that they fail to see the true problems that an influx brings with it.

If you think for one split second that an influx doesn't come with problems some insurmountable for a small country like Malta than you may be more of a bat.

Secondly I am not complaining, I am stating a fact, you or your children will do the complaining, if you are young enough, if not watch and savour your country imploding. It's happened and is happening, in France, the UK, Italy, rather than learn from others mistakes we imitate them! The only difference, is as colonialists they deserve it, we don't we haven't benefitted from the diamonds, oil or other resources.

If you seriously think the Maltese politician is capable of anything better than a corrupt framework, you're either not Maltese, naive or in benefitting from the corruption, hence why you don't rave and rant!

Not all Muslims are hamalli and savages, just as not all Maltese are hamalli and savages, despite the public evidence to the contrary.

Alfred Sant seems to have been right when he said that Malta would be invaded by foreigners if it entered the European Union and that the price of property would rocket sky-high.

However, he was wrong in at least one respect: the invaders and pseudo-residents were not from Italy and Sicily and other EU countries.

They are Libyans, Chinese, Africans and Asians.

These are in two categories: those who enter Malta illegally before proceeding to Europe, and those who buy their entry into Malta as the side-door into Europe.

Can you imagine the idiots at TVAM discussing how the economy will suffer if the government were to reverse 14,000 residence permits?

Or how Norma Saliba and her equally idiotic co-presenter were given the job as persons of trust?
