The company was set up for that specific purpose.

These before-and-after photos of the pediments of the upper floor windows show what’s wrong with the new system.

The sculpted decorations have been darkened while the wall behind them is lighted, creating what photographers call a backlit effect.

Even I, a complete layman, know it should be the other way round. The light should pick out details of the decorations, literally highlighting them, leaving the background in shadow for a more dramatic effect.
