On the Nazi emblem the eagle is looking to the right. This eagle on the fireworks is looking to the left. Similar emblems but not the same.

The Nazi eagle is not the same as the eagle of imperial Germany. That’s why the latter is still Nazi-conscious Germany’s official state symbol.

I don’t think you’ll find many Maltese who admire imperial Germany. To do so, they’d need to know history. Reading hurts the brain. A hog-roast by moonlight is far more relaxing.

Besides, they’d have to struggle at some point with the barra minn fuqna notion of monarchy.

I’m quite sure this is just a matter of sheer ignorance rather than anything sinister.
