The question is will Simon Busuttil live up to his promises?

We have heard this quite often from different political parties and BOTH failed miserably.

Why should we believe or trust SB? We need a strong 3rd political party that can bring a government down before the end of its legislature if it does not perform or keep its promises.

Unfortunately we are stuck to this botched version of democracy, where criminals and blood suckers just switch sides at will to keep a firm grip on their money. People, wake up.

Lorry Sant was diagnosed with terminal cancer soon after the Nationalists got into government. By 1995, he was dead.

Some kind of consensus was reached, as I recall, to give him a presidential pardon, which he accepted, which also meant an acceptance of guilt.

Because when the Nationalist Party got into government in 1987, I didn’t see them behaving like Dom Mintoff, KMB, Lorry Sant, Joe Grima, Leo Brincat and Karmenu Vella.

And when they got into government again in 1998, I didn’t notice them behaving in any manner or form like Alfred Sant and his merry men.

And are you suggesting that what the Labour government is doing now bears even the remotest resemblance to anything we saw in the years 1987 to 1996 and 1998 to 2013?

This is the biggest fraudulent setup. A Gasan Fenech Electrogas power station with a Malta-government-guaranteed bank loans of 360 million euros and also a guarantee that the Malta government will buy 100% of its production at a price stipulated by the vendor, for 18 years.

And let’s not forget that the Gasans without the Fenechs have applied to build yet another tower too, in Sliema.
