The Times of Malta quoted me yesterday, word for word, on the subject of one of Michelle Muscat’s outfits, without mentioning who it was quoting:

“Meanwhile, the Prime Minister’s wife Michelle Muscat wore what has been described as a 1950s-style short cape made of moire-effect broadtail lamb, worn over a cocktail dress, with a hat made of the same fur.”

The White Tower in Armier was never a fishing area and those ‘boat houses’ were never anything but summer shacks in which people slept. They began going up in the late 1970s. I know this for a fact because family friends had a (legal) summer house in the area and as children we used to run around in an empty space on an empty beach. That would have been in the mid-1970s.

I have trouble with the premiss on which your argument is based.

Your premiss is that the situation is abusive because boathouses should be used for keeping boats and not for staying in.

The correct premiss, however, is that the land was illegally squatted on and built upon. Therefore it follows that whatever use the buildings are put to, those who built and use them are on the wrong side of the law.

How about giving them back to the public, where they rightfully belong?

The whole purpose of a boathouse, is to house a boat. Anything beyond that is illegal, and unfair if it has since been legalised.

As for the stunning view and crystal blue waters, yes, we sure know that all too well.

These people have squatted on prime beaches in Malta just a few metres away from the sea.
