In reply to La Redoute. Well if the return flights are paid for but the planes fly empty I don't think they're making a very bad deal. Think about the fuel savings. Wertit insomma.

He’s being disingenuous. Robert Falzon got his job at Malta Enterprise under a Nationalist government, but he was made consul in Algiers by his cousin’s government.

Air Malta’s on its deathbed and yet it has introduced a new flight route to Algeria that doesn’t pay its way. How can it, if the flight from Algeria’s full but the outgoing flight’s empty?

The Maltese authorities may either issue a visa limited to Malta or a Schengen visa. The fact that they have issued Schengen visas to the Algerians enabling them to visit the Schengen area says it all.

Muscat thinks otherwise, according to him VISA processing belongs to the EU, ‘cleared through the EU system’ whatever that means.
