The Maltese government organised the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting twice in ten years.

The government should have used the previous experience to make things better. Instead we fell behind. Joseph Muscat has a lot to answer for.

And the organisation of 2005 CHOGM meeting worked like a Swiss clock. This time ’round it didn’t even work. Most of every sub-event lost a wheel or two so to speak, so much so that we ended up in Striscia la Notizia while one of the few references to the CHOGM in the UK Telegraph was the way their Queen was left waiting.
