It is inevitable that as children grow older they will realise that some animals prey on other animals, and that this is the way Nature operates.

However it should be pointed out that predators and prey are both adapted one for hunting, the other for flight.

Nature gives the prey a chance to get away. Some prey get away, some don’t – that is the way a food chain operates.

This is not the case when a prey is trapped right next to its predator. What sort of sadistic mind gets the idea of placing a donkey/zebra or whatever, right next to its predator, causing it unnecessary and prolonged stress.
