You forget that this is about far more than just blowing the whistle on corruption. This is about patriotism. It’s about Malta vs the world. To reveal your government’s or Malta’s corruption is unpatriotic and tantamount to treason.

What’s a hundred euros for a return flight compared to the thousands ‘paid’ for the ‘visa’?

Meanwhile we have been assured by the Algerians, according to Joseph Muscat, that there’s no corruption and that the claim is laughable. So we all go to sleep contentedly now.

Maybe next time it will be the Malta Party Against Corruption, on the same lines of North Korea calling itself Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

At Air Malta, everybody is an employee.

If you are not actually a shareholder or director, then you are an employee. Even the CEO is an employee. He is employed by Air Malta and is not a shareholder.

I don’t think it can be done by employees. You need someone much higher up the chain to have access to ticket and flight records.

And because Air Malta is a government-controlled company, the ones up the chain will be blowing the whistle to whom, exactly? Their own boss?
