I remember the day when cadets on a Dutch training ship were not allowed to come ashore by the government of Dom Mintoff.

Does the permission for foreign security services to carry arms mean that government is not satisfied with its own security arrangements? Is government being alarmist, or a realist now?

Don’t fret. This is latter-day politics; nothing more, nothing less.

Gone are the days of “Never was so much owed by so many to so few” and “I have a dream” and “Ich bin ein Berliner”. Those were the good old days when politics were the art of inspiring while nations with great ideals.

Nowadays it’s all about the ability to sell rubbish. I’d have said it’s like teleshopping, but teleshopping sometimes does sell good stuff. Not politics.

I wonder what these foreigners in Malta who require their security detail to be armed are scared of.

The official lie from the government will soon be that it is the Babaw. The truth is that the country has been invaded by hundreds of monied, shady and dubious characters without any controls whatsoever.

Malta has been traded in for thirty pieces of silver.
It will only take one incident to decimate our tourist industry.
