Yes, the Duma since 1905. But it was very much a rubber and what was really desired was a constitutional monarchy similar to the British model. 

I&#039;m not saying the whites didn&#039;t back the tsar, but I find it hard to believe they had they won things would have returned to the way they had been. 

You&#039;re right about Stolypin, who was killed in 1911. He tried to create a lower middle class (Kulacks) from amongst the poor and ended up becoming everyone&#039;s enemy. 

Don&#039;t get me started on Paul Boffa and 1949. Malta would have been spared so much if he had succeeded. 

But the Brits were always good at kicking friends in the teeth. They deserved Mintoff even if the rest of us didn&#039;t ]]></description>

Post-revolutionary leaders live better than the people they claim to represent harnssing more resources for their own comfort than the average peasant will ever see in their lifetime.]]></description>
