There would also be a bracelet system, but of course there isn’t anything of the sort in Malta.

The only regulation is one fisherman or hunter against another if perceived “poaching” is underway.

As if this country is renowned for the supervision and monitoring of what goes on. Look at the monitoring and testing of concrete used for the Child Development Centre in Gozo as stipulated in the tender.

You can’t control what wildlife eats, but you can and should control what feed and sanitary conditions farmed animals get. And you can’t monitor that without registration.

It is also a known fact that confined animals are more prone to ill-health, and hence require more veterinary attention. And again, you can’t ensure that happens without registration and proper monitoring.
