I agree. Saghtar was a recognisably terrible production even to my 11-year-old eyes in 1976, when we were forced to take out a subscription. It was seriously outdated even then, 40 years ago. The British books, comics and magazines I was used to reading were light years ahead and made Saghtar’s style, content and approach look positively Edwardian, which it was, really.
