Yes, but to communicate effectively you have to keep things simple. The fact is that most Maltese define class according to money and profession/trade. The concept of a working-class lawyer, for instance, or a working-class business operator, is too complex to understand because factors like family background, education, manners, values and so on are not taken into account.

Of course Fernando Agius is working-class, but to 90% of Maltese people, he’s middle class because his family is rich, owns a large furniture operation, and he’s got a nice home and car and went to a church school. The other factors are simply beyond comprehension so I just don’t go into them.
