THANK YOU for saying that diesel cars are uncomfortable. I am sick of having arguments about it. They are completely uncomfortable, no matter how pricey the model.

Diesel cars always feel as though they are floating insecurely above the road, somehow. They’ve come a long way, but still.

You’ll be happy to know that diesel engines are a very sensitive subject to me too, and I can always tell when a car has a diesel engine no matter the protests that ‘you really can’t tell the difference’.

The vibrations are definitely different in even the most sophisticated diesel engine and I don’t think it’s my imagination when I notice that diesel cars move differently too.

I come out of the shortest trip in a diesel car in need of a sick bag.

I so agree with you. I abhor diesel engines – and that’s apart from the fact that they have made me sick all my life, whether in a boat or a car. They are a contradiction in terms, like buying an ‘easy care’ Chanel suit.

No matter how advanced diesel engines become, they still belong in tractors. Anyone who can afford to buy a high-end BMW and Mercedes should have absolutely no qualms with footing the bill for petrol. If not, the car is solely a penis extension.

That much was obvious to anyone with a modicum of insight.

It was also obvious that he was groomed for the role long before he became Labour leader, starting with Alfred Sant’s defeat in 2003.

The real question that’s keeping me awake is how some of his mentors hope to square their own ideology with this man’s actions. Real left-wing Socialists using a totalitarian oligarch as their Trojan horse? I wish I could understand it.
