If either Muscat or Schembri had been convinced that Schembri was the right person for the job it would not have been a surprise or a big deal, would it? It was such a shock because it was so out of the blue, just like when Muscat took a back bencher to China or the US. That is how blind loyalty is bought. When someone deserves something and is up for it, one does not feel obliged to not bite the hand that feeds him.

And Schembri thought that the way things went was something to brag about! Poor her, and above all poor us.
