Likewise from the Aquatic Sports Association of Malta to enter the National Pool.

Private organisations also issue accreditation to journalists, photographers and cameramen to enter venues where their events are being held – for example, the airshow.

Even political parties sometimes issue accreditation. The DOI also issues cards to cover certain government activities. Special occasions like CHOGM, the Migration Summit, special sessions of Parliament and other important government events require additional accreditation.

Not being in possession of accreditation does not mean you are not a journalist, a photographer or a cameraman; it means you may not be allowed in where the event is taking place. The press card issued by the Department of Information is not a licence to work as a photographer, a journalist or a cameraman.
