I’m old enough to remember the chap as Head of Programmes at the then Rediffusion. He used to behave and speak with a certain grace and gravity.

Then it all changed when he became Labour candidate in the 1976 election. That was after Mintoff took over Rediffusion to establish Xandir Malta.

He contested on one of the districts on which there was Lorry Sant. He therefore had to edge himself into the constituency by using Lorry Sant’s thuggery. Since then he has successfully shifted his position to maximise his interests.

If David Cameron and others are scum what does this make the nonentity called Grima? I hope the British High Commissioner passes this on to the UK government so that ministers know the sort of people employed by Joseph Muscat. That will do his – and Malta’s – image a lot of good.
